MIKHAIL ATTENDS NATIONAL YOUTH

LEADERSHIP FORUM on MEDICINE

Audrey L. Mikhail, a College Heights Christian School Junior, recently attended a 10-day National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine (NYLF) program in Los Angeles.  This is the nation’s foremost program in pre-medicine education for high school students and was held at UCLA and other neighboring university medical schools.  Mikhail was nominated by her educators and admitted through an application process.

Mikhail was able to participate in a sense of the academic preparation necessary for a career in medicine.  NYLF’s hands-on interactive curriculum is designed so that students learn to differentiate between basic stages of research, develop an appreciation for the social, financial and emotional responsibilities of practicing medicine and gain skills in clinical decision-making.
