College Heights Christian School TO HOST
ANNUAL COUGAR RUN & CARNIVAL
FRIDAY & SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12-13
College Heights Christian School students will be celebrating the
efforts of their fund raising on Friday evening, October 12 at the
Cougar Run. Children, from as young as 3- years-old, are riding
their bikes, scooters, and skateboards for sponsorship donations.
The money will be used for remodeling the school kitchen and adding
new technology. The children received t-shirts, balls, and other
prizes for participating in the event. The students are encouraged
to decorate in school spirit colors and enter the Best Decorated
Bike Contest. The event runs from 5:15 pm until 6:15 pm at the
College Heights Christian School South East Parking Lot at 4311 E.
Newman Road in Joplin.
On Saturday, the public is invited to the Cougar Carnival. The
Carnival is an exciting way for all students to participate while
still raising money. Each individual class runs a booth that
directly benefits their teacher and the supplies for that classroom.
The kids have a lot of fun with the Hay rides, Horse rides, Face
Painting, Hair Coloring, Cake Walk, Go Carts, Car Bash, Pumpkin
Painting, and a Fire Truck . . . just to name a few. There are also
all kinds of yummy food ranging from burgers to smoothies. The
Carnival is held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, October
13, 2007 at the College Heights Christian School West Parking Lot at
4311 E. Newman Road in Joplin.
Media is encouraged to join us on both Friday & Saturday.
