LOCAL STUDENT ACCEPTED AS YOUTH WITH A MISSION IN OXFORD, NEW ZEALAND

Kaison Davis, a College Heights Christian School Senior, has been approved to attend the Youth with a Mission Backpackers DTS, in Oxford, New Zealand. Youth With A Mission encompasses thousands of people and hundreds of ministries in almost every country of the world, representing over 130 countries. Many locations have a wide variety of people from various nations working side by side. They come from numerous Christian denominations and speak hundreds of languages.

Davis will first complete Discipleship Training, a six-month training program. Upon completion, he will participate in backpacking across the country of New Zealand. Davis’s previous accomplishments include his desire and ability to backpack multiple-day tramps and his passion to know God and make Him known.  Kaison is scheduled to leave in October for discipleship training and then will begin backpacking in February 2010.

Kaison is the son of Curt and Tammy Davis of Joplin.
